I am writing an honest review. My son and his friend wanted to dress like "Dumb and Dumber" with their dates for Prom. So, we sought out a tuxedo rental that could accommodate our request. Or so we thought. The boys went and were measured 2-3 weeks prior to the Prom. One in the blue tux , one in the orange tux. Put down a $30 deposit. The next day, I called to verify all the items that they requested, /ruffle/cane/hat/shoes to match each tux. By chance, the night before we were suppose to pick up the tuxes, (which was Wednesday) I made another call just to double check on everything. They did not show that they were suppose to get shoes, hats or canes. I was a little irritated at this point, but sooo glad that I had called to verify. So,the next day, I could not be with them when they went to try on and pick up the tuxes. My son came home and said he had tried everything on and the girl said everything looked ok and that everything fit fine. So, I just assumed that they had people in the store that knew what they were doing. They certainly didn't think two teenage boys knew any better, come on. So, the night of prom he goes to put it all on and he can't understand why the pants look so goofy, lol....they were too small. The jacket was also too small. the arms were too short. The shirt fit. The vest was too big. I had to use safety pins to make adjustments. There was a rip in the seam of the leg- The ruffle was yellowed beyond belief. The hat looked awful. Almost shabby and old, old. The cane looked like they had stored it somewhere, actually still had dust on the top of it. The colors were all light blue, but different shades of blue. Looked like they threw together a bunch of crap- and called it a tux. I called them and informed them of the issue- but that it was too late to do anything about it- their staff had told him everything was fitting fine and looked o.k. the night before. It was far from it. He took a suit with him to prom- since the rip in the seam was already growing and he knew it was going to be a problem. They were able to get a few pics- but ended up having to change into the suit before he went to the prom. Some manager named Sean(from the walnut hills store) said it was like a costume. i said I didn't rent a costume, i rented a tux and that is how it was presented, not as a costume. I believe they should have given me a full refund. My husband went to return the tux and they wanted to give him $50 back. He laughed at Mike @ the Beechmont store. and said, i don't think so. I paid $171. to rent this tux- and got a whole 90.00 back. I would not recommend this tuxedo rental-Not only did they provide poor service - but then tried to make excuses for their poor product. I gave them the opportunity to make it right, and they chose not to. Very, very disappointed.
